Meet Sniper- the dog protecting the world's rarest Penguins
The film won the Best Amateur & Youth Film (International) award in CMS Vatavaran Film Festival 2019.
It was selected to be screened in six film festivals globally and to Penguin experts in National & International conferences.

Story
In New Zealand, Yellow-eyed Penguin numbers have dwindled. Finding these Penguins to monitor & conserve the population in the dense bushy habitat is tricky.
But former ranger Leith Thomson has a way- Sniper. She is one of the 80 certified Conservation Dogs in New Zealand.
Now every penguin counts… and Sniper is on an adventure to protect the endangered birds.
Making
Sniper was produced as a graduation film for a Post Graduate degree on Science Communication- Natural History Filmmaking
at University of Otago, New Zealand.
